Dct is always better, faster, and quicker. And m3-m4 is not; I repeat not a race car, period. It's a fun street car at best. Don't get hopes high with false narratives. That leads to m4 guys pulling up beside the porsche gt3 guy and hilariously thinking they have a lot in common as motor bros 😂

@@dashh77 i drove the f82 i know its a lil faster but didnt feel that way in a straight line. if i went to track once a week maybe. But the sound of the car with the topdown is well worth it.
BMW is far better than merc. Merc ages so baddddd trying to keep up with fads. While BMW always shot for Timeless designs. Plus AMG Is 40% chinese now, AMG is going super affordable. Sad

I have the convertible, and have no regrets. the regular is a little better looking, but I get to drive with the top down, and that's so worth it. Plus, because it's a hard top, when the top is up, the noise is comparable to a coupe. It's like two cars in one. I added an MHD tune and now it has 525hp and 500 ft/lbs torque. It's a complete monster in "M2" mode! I haven't clocked 0-60, but I'm sure its around 3.5 sec.

under 2 minutes and you say some stupid millenial bullshit. Manual shifting is an art. If you think all there is to it is popping it between gears, then you're a novice. It's not torture, it's a fucking privilage

None of these fools have driven the dct in this car. Yes, it’s better than a manual, and I’m a manual guy.
Manual all the way. Why would you buy a m car with dct transmission? F83 Manual transmission is fun and better to drive in the city and the track.
Did you just say in the track? The DCT option did the ring in 7:48 and the manual did it in 8:02. How is that better in the track? Just say fun because its clearly not better, even in drag in does it in 11.9 with the DCT and 12.4 in the manual.
The DCT shifts are smooth as butter in regular mode and near instantaneous in sport mode. its not possible to shift faster manually. If you just like the feel of a manual, that's one thing, but if we're talking performance, there's no comparison to the DCT.

I used to think the same about the m3 going from v8 to inline 6 but you probably aren't educated in BMW. BMW sucks at making v8 speaking in reliability. They are known for having bulletproof inline 6.

They are two completely different cars. The M is definitely a race car and it 100% feels like one. All power and fun. The Merc is powerful but you don't feel the car as much as you do the M. So if you want something fast and comfortable get the Merc, if you want something fast and fun get the M.
The m4 comp have depreciated so much here in the uk. Can get a ‘17 with low miles for £30k which is like 40k USD
